• Sensor tap Installation Procedure

    • Step-by-step guide: automatic Sensor tap installation

        Note before installation

        Flush the system

To avoid dirt getting into the solenoid valve, flush the system before connecting the control box or sensor tap.

        Qualified Plumber

The installation process is easy to implement, but we highly recommended that the electrical/plumbing to be carried out by a qualified plumber/electrician if you're not comfortable with the installation procedures..

        Main water supply (Hot/Cold)

Make sure that main water supply feeds are switched OFF before removing any existing tap or before you begin sensor tap installation process. Also make sure you have the correct and adequate water pressure before proceeding.

        Reflective surfaces

In general, infrared sensor taps can be affected by highly reflective surfaces.  Do not install too close to shiny surfaces or its sensor directly facing bright lights/sunshine.

      • Step 1Take the sensor tap and connect the flexible hose(s) supplied to the base of the tap and tighten firmly. Feed the flexible hose and sensor signal cable through the hole on the basin/worktop.

      • Step 2Securely mount the sensor tap to your required position on the worktop or basin. Using the fittings provided, tighten the sensor tap to the worktop or basin firmly (from underneath)

Step 3 (If you're installing ATT-Series proceed to Step 5)Mount the control box (if supplied) underneath the sink using the screws provided. Make sure its mounted high enough for the flexible hose (coming from sensor tap) to reach it.

Tip: Before mounting the control box
If you want to power the sensor tap via battery, install the batteries first by removing the front cover on the control box and install 4x new AA alkaline batteries.
Before permanently mounting the control box i.e. to the wall, make sure the ‘sensor connection slot’ or WATER OUT connection is pointing ‘downwards’ and the ‘WATER IN’ connection is pointing to the right. Click here for details.

        NOTE
Keep control box dry and away from moisture/elements.

      • Step 4Connect the flexible hose from sensor tap to the control box marked Water OUT.

        Step 5If you're installing ATT-Series:

Connect the HOT and COLD sensor tap flexi cable directly to HOT and COLD main water supply and check for leaks. Please make sure you use any filters/non-return valves provided. Finish installation process, otherwise continue below.

Other sensor tap models with a control box:
Connect main water supply (HOT/COLD supply) to the control box connection point marked Water IN.

        NOTE: Temperature control
Make sure water temperature supplied to the control box/sensor tap is at safe temperature suitable for users. Whatever water temperature you feed to the control box or to the sensor tap is the same temperature that comes out. To control or mix 'hot' and 'cold' temperature, you can use our thermostatic valve

        TIP
If you want a sensor tap with temperature control valve built-in (non-thermostatic), try our ATT Series.

Step 6Connect Main AC power supply.

      NOTE
We highly recommended that a qualified electrician carry out the electrical installation process in accordance with the latest electrical regulations.

      • Step 7Connect the sensor wire cable to the control box, and switch ON the main water supply feeds.  At this point, the sensor tap may come ON briefly (flushing process) and shuts off again, this is normal.

        NOTE
Check for leaks, and make sure all the connections are connected properly.

The installation process is now complete, and sensor tap is now ready to use.
